Hi, I’m Scout!

I’m a holistic life coach, advocate, and psychology student at Northeastern University.

Just weeks after my 18th birthday I didn’t just lose my health—I lost Scout completely. After I was randomly diagnosed with Hydrocephalus and underwent my first brain surgery in 2018, I suddenly had to figure out how to manage my daily symptoms and rebuild a new life with absolutely no guide besides my own intuition. For so many years I’ve silently fought an invisible war with my illness, all while grieving the sense of normalcy my life once had. Although I am lucky enough to have an amazing care team and support system, I still wake up some days feeling like I am on a life raft by myself in the middle of the ocean. Getting diagnosed with a lifelong illness brings up a feeling of loneliness and grief that no person, doctor, or inspirational quote can encapsulate.

What amazes me is illness, grief, loss, and unexpected life changes are universal life experiences, yet there are so few resources that truly speak to how we get through them. While I don’t hold any secrets or fix-all solutions, as your coach I strive to be the person I needed when I was first diagnosed, scared and alone on that life raft.

Even in the hardest of times there is always a path forward, and I’m here to help you find yours.

My Philosophy

————

My coaching philosophy is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and the belief that healing and growth are possible, even in the midst of uncertainty. In a world that expects us to “get back up on the horse,” I am offering a space where you can let go of those expectations and ground yourself in what matters to you.

My coaching approach focuses on finding acceptance with your current situation and figuring out a way to adapt your life to your new reality rather than fight against it. I don’t hold a perfect formula, but I can help you reconnect with your purpose and strength so you can uncover your own answers and coping strategies through our work together. Each session I will provide you with practical tools and personal insights so you leave with greater clarity and a renewed sense of your own strength and capability.

As your coach I provide a framework to guide each session, but there’s always space to adapt based on your unique needs, energy, and circumstances. Our work together is a partnership, and I am here to support you as you uncover your own solutions and strengths.

  • Growing up I took any opportunity to replace sports or P.E. with an art class (I still can’t draw to save my life, though!) My favorite creative hobbies are baking, event planning, flower arranging, and embroidery. 🧵🪡

  • My love for cooking and baking started when I was 4 years old “working” in the kitchen of my aunt and uncle’s catering business. While I’ve grown to love cooking, baking will always be my first love! Right now I’m in the process of making this Chocolate Chip Croissant Sourdough Bread 🥖🍫
